The Benefits of Group Coaching.
I’m excited to share my recognition in an article recently published in The Journal of Applied Behavioral Science! The article shares results of research conducted at a West Michigan company where I worked with approximately 75 supervisors over a 2-month period of time.
The results indicate that there is tremendous benefit for organizations to consider “group coaching” around discovering hidden barriers that impede leadership effectiveness. For those of you who have worked with me, you know that my leadership statement and life motto is “the answers are in the room” – I act as a guide to help clients discover what is truly within themselves in order to enhance their lives at work, home, and in the community.
To help decipher an academic article, here are some headlines that validate the research hypotheses:
Individuals who undergo Immunity to Change group coaching will report more progress toward their stated development goals than their comparison-group counterparts.
The majority of the study participants who undergo Immunity to Change group coaching will indicate intent to use Immunity to Change coaching tools to meet future goals.
The impact of group coaching using Immunity to Change is recognized in this article, and reflected in the lives of those who have participated in the program.
On a personal note, it was thrilling to read “The author would like to thank Barbara Rapaport for her masterful delivery of the coaching in this study”. A great reminder that I love what I do, and help create major positive impact in the lives of so many!
